Responsibilities:

  • Supports Senior Powerplant Manager in managing the safety, reliability, technical performance and cost of ownership of the Wizz Air fleet of engines and APUs,
  • Follow up of powerplant / APU maintenance requirements (AD, SB, LLPs, etc.) and configuration control,
  • Powerplant / APU Maintenance Plan development, revision and follow up,
  • Preparation, coordination, and negotiation of powerplant and APU shop visit workscopes,
  • Powerplant and APU shop visit planning and coordination with maintenance planning
  • Review spare engine requirement for the engine removal program and ensure provision of suitable engines for the Operator’s fleet.
  • Participation in powerplant and APU related tenders and negotiations,
  • Cooperation with OEM and repair shops,
  • Co-operation with HME, MOC, Maintenance Planners, Technical Supply and other departments (Fleet development, Finance, etc.)
  • Maintenance reserve and warranty claims management and administration,
  • On time publication of all relevant information for OEM, shops, lessors and other third parties,
  • Powerplant and APU Reliability program development, monitoring, revision and data collection,
  • Powerplant condition monitoring, analysis and reporting,
  • Support at troubleshooting and engine replacement,
  • Proper technical record keeping and administration (AD / SB statuses),
  • Oversight of powerplant and APU repairs during shop visit,
  • Integrity of the reported data in-house and to third parties,
  • Correction of discrepancies revealed by quality audits,
  • Ensure each Engine/ APU whether on operating lease, mortgaged or finance lease, meets the end of lease conditions,
  • Follow applicable requirements of Safety Management System.

 

Requirements:

  • Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience
  • Degree in an Aerospace Engineering subject or EASA pt66 Licence
  • Problem solving, analytical & technical decision making,
  • Project management,
  • Able to prioritize in fast moving environment,
  • Strong team player, highly collaborative and emotionally intelligent,
  • High degree of commercial awareness,
  • Computer & IT literate,
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly self-motivated showing initiative in a changing environment.
  • Experience of effective supplier management
  • Hands on aircraft/engine/product experience desirable
  • AMOS working experience,
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
